The side axe has embossed initial “W” & secondary small strike of “W.W.” It has chamfered topped off-set tapered “D” shaped socket, 14 1/2” edge, pronounced chip-deflector weld and hardened strike plate on butt. The axe has “Flower stem in box planter” tool decoration emanating from the corner of the beard, and “Trinity-star” strike design around makers initial. Axe has late replacement handle, but the axe is attributed to Pennsylvania by form.
