52Rare, Ellis Morris Patent, Nov. 8, 1870, “Diamond Metallic Bench Plane”, P-F. The plane was made & offered by Sandusky Tool Co. in their 1871 catalog. This plane was originally a 22” bench jointer. It has ornate embossed cast upper deck & diamond-grid sole. It has potion of nose & tail removed, missing original Sandusky blade & wedge.
