T. Glenn Horst

While auctioneering in the Horst family goes back two generations before him, T. Glenn is the founder of Horst Auction. He started auctioneering is 1956 with his father Titus and has over 65 years in the profession. His favorite auction moment was selling the collection of Earl & Ada Robacher in 1989. It was an outstanding auction with numerous items selling for over $10,000. T. Glenn is now retired and enjoys spending time in Sarasota, Florida. When at home T. Glenn enjoys spending time at the office, telling his many stories of auctions in the past.

Tim Horst

As President of Horst Auctioneers Tim has been auctioneering in Lancaster County for over 40 years. His most memorable auction experience was finding (300) U.S. gold coins in a locked safe in Ephrata. The highlight of the lot was an 1879 Stella 4 dollar Gold piece that brought $67,000.00. Interestingly enough, the house where the gold was found only sold for $70,000 on auction. In Tim’s spare time he enjoys snowmobiling in the Adirondacks, going to the beach and spending time with his family & grandkids. Tim is also very active in his church Hopeland UMC.

Tom Horst

A Lancaster County native, Tom is Vice President of Horst Auctioneers. Tom has been auctioneering for over 35 years. Tom’s most memorable experience was packing and selling the contents of the Snow Hill Nunnery (a sister community of Ephrata Cloister). Highlight from that auction were (40) redware bowls attributed to the Bell family. The redware bowls brought a total of $345,000. In Tom’s spare time he enjoys wood working and traveling to his cabin in Mifflin County. Tom is also active in his church and spends time each year going on mission trips.

T. Brent Horst

Brent is Tim’s oldest son. Growing up in the business, Brent has been auctioneering since 2003. Brent is in charge of the Americana Auctions and brings knowledge & love of high end antiques to the business. His favorite auction memory is the first auction for the Horst estate in Womelsdorf, PA. Selling farm primitives & antique vehicles under the tent. A 1935 Cadillac brought $66,000. In his spare time Brent enjoys snowmobiling in the Adirondacks & camping with his wife Aubrey and daughters Kelsey & Brooke. He is also very active in his church Hopeland UMC

Matthew Horst

Matt is Tim’s middle child. Matt started auctioneering in 2011. His most memorable Auction was a sale they had in Lebanon in October of 2011. The weather started out as rain but soon transitioned into snow. He ending up selling a Bates & Edmonds 25 HP Engine for $30,000. Ironically enough it was also the day of Matt’s first date with his eventual wife. A good day for sure. In his time off Matt enjoys buying antiques, snowmobiling and spending time with his wife Ashley, & son, Noah. Matt is active in his church and enjoys playing softball on the church team.

Derek Horst

Derek is Tim’s youngest child. Derek started Auctioneering in 2014. Derek’s personality is perfect for the business and always has a smile on his face. Derek is head of our pickup crew and enjoys being “Vice President” of our coin division. Derek’s favorite auction moment was selling the 1958 Pontiac Bonneville Sport Convertible for $90,000. In his free time Derek enjoys snowmobiling, participating in church functions and spending time with his wife Olivia & Friends.

Brandon Pike

Brandon has been working at Horst Auction full time for over 9 years. Brandon catalogs our gun accessories and helps to set up auctions. You may also know him from being the shelf guy during our weekly auctions. Brandon’s favorite auction memory is traveling to Virginia to pick over 1000 firearms. In his free time Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife Jennica, daughter Bryn & son Conner. He also likes to spend time at Hershey Park & yearly trip to Ocean City, NJ with his family.

Renee Horst

Renee is Tim’s wife and has been the full time administrative assistant for over 28 years. Here favorite auctions over the years have been the Snow Hill Nunnery & the Horst estate in Womelsdorf. In her free time Renee enjoys spending time with her family especially her grandkids. She enjoys snowmobiling and going to the cabin in the Adirondacks. She attends Hopeland UMC and is very active in the church.

Aubrey Horst

Aubrey is Brent’s wife and has been working with Horst Auction for over 12 years. She is in charge of many office duties including designing catalogs. Her favorite memory is seeing all the antiques in the Hess Homestead before they were taken out and sold in April of 2019. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping and going to the beach. Aubrey is an active member of her church being in charge of many youth & children activities.
