R        1.     Winchester mod. 69A ser.# n/a. Bolt action .22 rifle with a clip. 24” barrel has the original front sight, missing the hood. Receiver sight missing. Receiver drilled on the side and has a vintage Weaver G6 scope in a Weaver N mount. Excellent bore and action. Fairly clean metal has 95% factory blue. Plain walnut stock has non-factory swivels. There is a large chunk out of the pistol grip and the finish shows lots of surface marks. Very good original butt plate. (C&R) SOLD FOR: 220.00

R        2.     Winchester mod. 1873 ser.# 538577B. .32-20 lever action standard rifle made in 1899. Replacement rear sight, missing the ramp. 24” octagon barrel. Full length magazine tube is too good to be original to this gun. Poor bore with, almost, visible rifling. Excellent action. Dinged brass cartridge lifter. Dust cover intact but the screw slot is bad. Dark brown metal with dings, scratches, and old rust residue. Plain walnut forearm is dinged, scratched, and cracked. Very good matching straight grip stock shows the usual 112 years of use but is still solid. Correct crescent metal butt plate. (C&R) SOLD FOR: 950.00

R        3.     Winchester mod. 70 ser.# 787808. .30-06 bolt action, push feed, sporting rifle made in 1965. 22” factory free floated barrel. Original sights missing the front hood. Hinged floor plate. Excellent shiny bore. Excellent slick action. 95% factory blue is fairly clean up top but the floor plate has light rust. Very good oak leaf carved and checkered cheek piece stock has a non-factory black grip cap and contrasting wood fore-end tip. Butt shows finish wear. Solid rubber Winchester butt plate to a slightly shortened pull of 13 ½”. Includes a fine U.S. made Bausch & Lomb 2.5-8X scope in the correct B&L top mount. SOLD FOR: 375.00

          4.     Winchester mod. 1873 ser.# 206834. Antique lever action special order rifle made in 1886. Proof marked receiver and 20” round barrel indicate the gun was re-barreled to .32-20 by Winchester sometime in its life. Button magazine. Replacement rear sight. Bore should clean to, at least, very good. Excellent action. Excellent brass cartridge lifter and dust cover. Barrel has 95% blue with scratches. Smooth gray/brown receiver, lever, and the balance of the metal shows some cold blue. Lever has no appendage for the missing lever lock. The hole in the lower tang has been filled. Very good plain walnut forearm and matching straight grip stock have been lightly sanded and have a thin coat of new finish. Correct crescent metal butt plate. SOLD FOR: 1,200.00

          5.     Winchester mod. 1885 ser.# 55669. Antique low wall single shot lever action rifle made in 1892. Chambered in .22 W.R.F. 24 ¼” #2 octagon barrel. Replacement sights. Fair/good bore. Excellent action. Clean metal has a professional high gloss re-blue over bad pitting. Excellent refinished plain walnut Schnabel forearm, with the ebony tip intact. Very good/excellent matching, refinished, straight grip stock has a light upper tang crack. Correct, re-blued, crescent metal butt plate. SOLD FOR: 725.00

R        6.     Smith & Wesson “Hand Ejector” ser.# 978854. The actual model of this pre-1945 U.S. Property marked 6 shot .38 S&W revolver is difficult to tell. It appears to be a K-200 and is numbered in that serial range. 5” barrel. Fixed sights. Swing out cylinder. Butt stamped with a flaming bomb and has a W. B. (Waldemar Broberg?) inspector’s mark. Excellent bright bore. Excellent action. Metal has worn or been cleaned to  mostly bare gray with just hints of original matte blue. Lanyard ring intact. Fair nicked and dinged plain walnut original grips. (C&R) SOLD FOR: 325.00

R        7.     Winchester mod. 1917 ser.# 474134. 1918 production bolt action .30-06 U.S. military rifle. Correct barrel dated 10-18. Original configuration. Bright bore should clean to at least very good. Excellent action. Clean metal retains 95% thinning original finish with possible cold blue touchup on the floor plate/trigger guard. Color matches and does not detract. Excellent, for their age, plain walnut hand guard and full length stock. Some proof marks still visible. Correct swivels and metal butt plate. Cleaning tools are still in the butt’s trap. A fine example! (C&R) SOLD FOR: 525.00

R        8.     Springfield Armory mod. 1903 ser.# 315705. Another fine U.S. .30-06 bolt action service rifle. Receiver manufactured in 1907. Rock Island barrel dated 3-18. If it wasn’t re-heat treated, this rifle has a, so called, hard receiver so caution is advised if it is actually to be fired. Original configuration. Good bright bore. Excellent action. Clean metal finish is a combination of blue and Parkerizing and has approx. 90% coverage. Excellent, for their age, plain walnut hand guard and full length straight grip stock. Wood may have been lightly refinished but still has a few light dings and visible proof marks. Original swivels and metal butt plate with an empty trap. Includes a vintage Boyt 1 ¼” sling. R        9.     Hunter Arms Co. “L. C. Smith 00 Grade’’ ser.# 67009R. Hammerless side lock 16 ga. side by side shotgun made in 1912. Dent free 28” armor steel barrels. Double triggers and extractors. Chambers measure less than 2 ¾”. Choked full and fuller. Bores will clean to excellent. Manual safety. Solid excellent action. Opening lever still angled to the right. Frame and side plates are mostly gray and show old rust residue. Barrels’ finish turning blue/brown and has spots of old rust. Except for one nasty ding, the checkered walnut splinter forearm would be excellent. Very good matching capped pistol grip stock was shortened and the original butt plate altered to fit to 13 ¼” pull. (C&R) SOLD FOR: 475.00

        10.     Classic Arms Ltd. “New Orleans Ace” ser.# 5280. Disassembled single shot .42 caliber percussion muzzle loading, modern U.S. made, repro pistol in kit form. 3 ½” smooth bore barrel. Every thing looks like new and all the parts are SUPPOSED to be there. Gun is in the original box with instructions. SOLD FOR: 40.00

        11.     Iver Johnson “Defender” ser.# 1280. Antique single action .22 Short spur trigger pocket revolver. Not a real bad example! 2 ¼” round barrel. Center pin shows pliers marks. Good bore. Excellent solid action. 80% factory nickel, 20% rust, most of the rust is on the cylinder. Excellent walnut “bird’s head” grips. SOLD FOR: 120.00

R      12.     Winchester mod. 43 ser.# 30058A. Standard grade .22 Hornet bolt action rifle with a clip. Re-chambered to K Hornet, a popular wildcat cartridge at the time. 24” barrel has the original sights, missing the front hood. Excellent shiny bore. Excellent slick action. 95% factory blue with scattered rust. Very good/excellent, lightly refinished, plain walnut stock with factory swivels and the correct checkered metal butt plate. Includes a vintage ¾” Weaver mod. 440 scope in the correct Redfield top mount. Rifle might have been factory drilled and tapped. (C&R) SOLD FOR: 450.00

R      13.     Davenport Firearms mod. 1902 ser.# 77794. Vintage 12 ga. single shot hammer gun. 30” barrel, extractor, and a chamber that measures slightly less than 2 ¾”. Pitted bore. Very good, very dirty, action. Dark brown, dirty and rusty, metal. Very good plain walnut forearm. Terrible butt stock has a replaced butt plate. (C&R) SOLD FOR: 40.00

        14.     Forehand & Wadsworth mod. 1881 ser.# 3291. Antique side hammer single shot 12 ga. 40” jug choked fine de-carbonized steel barrel is missing the front bead. Extractor. Bore might clean to fair. Action still works. Receiver was originally nickel plated but only traces remain. Gray/brown metal with old rust residue. Poor wood. Correct metal butt plate. SOLD FOR: 60.00

        15.     Traditions “Tracker 209” ser.# (not visible). Modern inline Spanish made single shot percussion muzzle loading .50 cal. rifle that uses size 209 primers for ignition. Gun is brand new in a clear plastic package containing everything you need to shoot it, and clean it, except propellant and primers. SOLD FOR: 110.00

        16.     Swiss mod. 1878 “Vetterli” ser.# 179631. Antique bolt action military rifle chambered in 10.4X38mm (.41 Swiss Rim Fire). Internal tubular magazine. Cut 27” barrel has a poor bore that might clean better. Replaced front sight. Original rear sight. Action works fine but the cartridge lifter is not working, probably because the gun needs a good cleaning. Metal finish is a combination of worn original blue and scratched black paint, with a little old rust. Very good plain walnut straight grip butt stock with the correct metal butt plate. Matching forearm, held with a wedge pin and barrel band was cut at the tip. Original sling swivels. SOLD FOR: 110.00

        17.     C. S. Shattuck “Leader” ser.# 23372. A rather poor example of this interesting antique 12 ga. single shot hammer gun. 28” barrel has a non-original brass band attached to the muzzle holding a bead front sight. A blade style rear sight is attached at the rear and it has several sighting notches. Gun has two triggers but the front one is used to open the gun. This trigger is broken off. Part of the takedown mechanism is also missing. Bore might clean to good. Action still works. Rusty dark brown metal. Very good plain walnut forearm. Poor taped stock. Replacement butt plate. SOLD FOR: 50.00

R      18.     dou (Waffenwerke Brunn) mod. 98 ser.# 7192g. Nazi marked 8X57mm Czech made bolt action military rifle altered into a hunting gun. Mismatched bolt and other parts. 24” barrel has the original sights. Very good bore. Excellent action. Metal retains most of the arsenal blue but it’s getting thin, with a little very fine old rust. Missing the hand guard. Very good laminated stock was cut at the fore-end, has putty filled holes, and was varnished. Replacement plastic butt plate. (C&R) SOLD FOR: 160.00

R      19.     Winchester mod. 94 “NRA Centennial Musket” ser.# NRA55690. A lever action .30-30 commemorative rifle issued in 1971. 26” round barrel. Ladder style rear sight. Blued metal has machine engraving on the receiver. Plain walnut full length forearm and matching straight grip stock. Medallion embedded in the butt stock. Original sling swivels. Rifle looks like new, good enough to be unfired, but has no box or papers. (C&R) SOLD FOR: 450.00

Rusty ejector works fine. Excellent action. Dark case colored hammer and trigger. Blued trigger guard. Balance of the fairly clean metal retains 98% shiny factory nickel with lots of little dings on one side of the barrel. Excellent black checkered and embossed grips with the F&W logo. Action works fine but the cylinder indexing is poor. Worn brown trigger guard. Balance of the metal has 59% factory nickel, 41% rust and blistering. Top of the receiver non-factory drilled and tapped and is holding a 1” Tasco 3-9X scope in see through rings. Excellent bright bore. Excellent slick action. 98% factory satin blue with just a hint of old rust residue, mostly on the receiver. Very good/excellent grooved walnut forearm and matching plain pistol grip stock. R      39.     Winchester mod. 69A ser.# n/a. Semi-target version of this .22 bolt action rifle. Missing the clip. Repro magazines are available. 25” barrel has the original ramp front sight, with the hood, and the factory receiver sight. Receiver sight is slightly damaged and held with a replacement screw. Bore should clean to excellent. Excellent action. Lightly rusted blue/brown metal. Good/very good plain walnut stock with lots of scratches, dings, and wear. R   40A.      First of a lot of 3. Harrington & Richardson mod. 88 “Topper” ser.# AX541061. 12 ga. single shot hammer gun made in 1981. 27 ½” barrel. 3” chamber. Automatic ejector. Bore will clean to good or better. Excellent action. Heavily rusted rubble with a poor homemade forearm but a very good butt stock and butt plate.

R   40B.     Second of the lot. Mass. Arms Co. single shot ser.# Q1946. Vintage 12 ga. hammer gun with a 29 ¾” choke bored barrel. Poor bore. Very good action. Rusty rubble missing the complete forearm. Poor butt stock has an unusual musket style replacement metal butt plate. (C&R)

R   40C.     Third of the lot. Harrington & Richardson mod. 1900 ser.# 139033. Vintage single shot 20 ga. hammer gun. 28” barrel. Extractor. Poor bore. Very good action. Rusty rubble with a very good forearm and a terrible butt stock. Poor butt plate. (C&R) SOLD FOR: 10.00

R   41A.      First of a lot of 2. J. Stevens Arms Co. mod. 066 ser.# n/a. Bolt action repeating .22 rifle with an unusual action. Only the bolt handle rotates and when the bolt is drawn back the magazine tube moves with it. 22” barrel. Open sights may be correct but the rear is crudely welded in place. Side of the receiver drilled for a scope mount (not included). Bore might clean to, at least, good. Very dirty action seems to work O.K. Rusty metal. Poor stock is dinged, scratched, punched with holes, and has a large notch made for the scope mount. Rusty, but correct, metal butt plate (C&R)

Made in Bakersfield, California of all places! 17 ¾” barrel. Military style sights, both are semi-adjustable. Hinge screw looks like a replacement. Excellent bore and action. Black alloy with scratches. Polymer ribbed forearm and pistol grip. Folding blued metal retractable stock. Includes a broad camo. nylon carrying strap. SOLD FOR: 325.00

R      44.     Remington mod. 1100 ser.# 102307X. Takedown semi-automatic 20 ga. shotgun. 1968 barrel code. 28” plain barrel choked improved cylinder. 2 ¾” chamber. Like new bore and action. 99% clean factory blue with a few extremely small scratches. Excellent impressed checkered, gloss finished, walnut forearm and matching capped pistol grip stock. Fair bore might clean better. Poor action. Worn brown and rusty trigger guard. Balance of the metal has 60% factory nickel, 40% rust and blistering. Unique trapdoor style swing open breech block with a lever opener. Exposed hammers. 28 ¼” fine laminated steel barrels. Dirty rusty bores will clean much better. Excellent action. On the minus side, part of the hinged breech block is broken off and the entire gun is covered with heavy rust. The gun was made in several grades and this one must be one of the better grades, featuring lots of engraving. Very good dark checkered walnut forearm is held with a wedge pin and is missing the ebony tip. Very good matching straight grip stock. Correct metal butt plate. Gun is probably worth restoring! Barrel band ramp front sight. Fixed two blade rear sight with one folding. Butter knife bolt handle. Military style safety. Hinged floor plate. Working double set triggers. Excellent bore.         94.     Colt “Single Action Army” ser.# 359. Yes, 359!! This is an antique .45 Colt 6 shot revolver referred to as an artillery model. The black powder frame was probably made the first day of 1875, the third year of production. Originally had a 7 ½” barrel when sent to the U.S. Government and later returned to a government armory to have the barrel shortened to 5 ½” and “reassembled without regard to matching serial numbers”. Revolver now has mixed numbers and is totally correct being mismatched. Trigger guard was made in 1881. Grip frame made in 1882. Barrel mounted extractor rod with the bulls eye head. Fixed sights. This gun was probably in excellent condition but was, recently, poorly stored. Excellent action although the un-numbered cylinder will, sometimes, not index properly. Bore should clean to excellent. Case color visible on the hammer. U.S marked frame has turned dark. Center pin has a little pliers’ damage but all the screw slots are perfect and show fire blue. Blue/brown finish on the barrel, cylinder, and frame. Unfortunately, there are scattered patches of light, medium, and heavy rust throughout. All the familiar inspector’s marks, Ainsworth, Clark, Nettleton, etc. Very good/excellent plain walnut one piece grip has no visible inspector’s stamp. Possibly made, under license of Remington, in another country. 100% original! 35” barrel will not accept a .45-70 cartridge so, possibly, it is chambered in .43 Spanish but must be checked. Correct sights. Bore’s rifling is sharp and very close to excellent. Excellent solid crisp action. Metal’s finish is a worn gray/brown, with a small spot or two of pitting, but shows very little rust. Good full length dinged, chipped, and scratched forearm.       108.     Belgian double barrel ser.# 6134. Although unmarked, this antique percussion side by side was obviously a pretty classy piece in its day. 100% original. Dent free 29 ½” Damascus or twist steel barrels of approx. 16 ga. Wooden ramrod. Bores, although not smooth by today’s standards, are still very good. Excellent crisp action. Like new nipples. Nicely engraved side lock plates, hammers, trigger guard, and tangs. Dark brown barrels, show some twist pattern and old rust. Balance of the metal finished in the white and has old cleaned rust and some browning. Very good, for its age, checkered straight grip stock has lots of dings and scratches but, also, lots of finish.       112.     Knight “D.I.S.C.” ser.# S006169. Modern single shot .50 caliber inline muzzle loading rifle that uses special plastic “discs”, holding size 209 primers, for ignition. 22” barrel. Ramp front sight. Receiver area drilled for scope mounts (included). Metal ramrod. Excellent shiny bore. Action is not working correctly. Evidently the bolt was disassembled without using the required “C” tool  and no longer is installed in the correct orientation. Not an insurmountable problem but the tool and instructions will be required. Barrel is clean stainless steel or satin chrome. Bores are excellent but the upper barrel has a noticeable slight bulge about 5” from the forcing cone. Factory engraved receiver and trigger guard. Fairly clean metal retains 96% factory blue. Possibly the chokes were just opened up. Chambers measure less than 2 ¾”. Automatic safety. Excellent shiny bores. Excellent solid action. Metal is very clean but the barrels and most of the frame are worn to bare gray. Traces of pattern still visible on the barrels. Strong traces of case color on the side plates. This example was part of the WW II Lend Lease program and was loaned to China where it was heavily used as witnessed by its condition. Originally manufactured in 1930. Re-imported in the 2000s by the C.M.P. but has no import marks. Original configuration. Correct barrel dated 9-30. Fair bore. Excellent action. Metal is mostly worn to gray, has thin traces of arsenal finish, and shows a few spots of scattered pitting. Fair cracked hand guard and full length, scant pistol grip, stock with uncountable dings and scratches. Well defined Chinese symbol stamped on the butt. Manufactured at a time when quality was at its zenith. Rifle is 100% matching and original down to the steel cleaning rod. Hinged floor plate. 30” barrel. Unfortunately, the bore looks bad but might clean better. Excellent greasy action. Clean bolt and receiver finished in the white, with the Argentine crest on the front ring. Balance of the greasy metal retains 95% arsenal blue. Very good hand guard and full length pistol grip stock. Wood has the usual, but minimal, dings and scratches. Vintage, possibly pre-1910???, top quality hammerless box lock 12 ga. side by side made in Belgium and imported by Von Lengerke & Detmold U.S. Agents, New York as marked on the 30” Damascus barrels. Concave matted rib. Double triggers and extractors. *J inspectors marks. Chambers measure 2 ¾” which means the gun could be much later manufacture. Choked full and modified. Bores have no dents and will clean close to excellent. Automatic safety. Excellent solid action has a Greener type cross bolt. Smooth rust free barrels are a worn gray/brown and show most of the Damascus pattern. Profusely engraved fences, frame, trigger guard, lever, and tangs. Metal there has turned mostly bare gray with traces of old rust residue. Screw missing from the lower tang. Very good dark checkered walnut splinter forearm held with a plunger latch. The matching straight grip stock is missing something that was held with a screw at the end of the lower tang. Also, there is either a repair at the side of the stock near the frame or the gun had cocking indicators that are missing. Otherwise, the stock shows light scratches and use.       134.     Winchester mod. 1885 ser.# 51775. Antique high wall single shot lever action falling block, hammer fired, rifle made in 1891. Extra heavy #4 weight 32 ½” octagon barrel measures 1” across the flats. Chambered in .38-55. Missing the sights. Curiously, the barrel also has two dovetails on the bottom side. This could indicate the barrel was made for a lever action rifle with a tubular magazine and was installed on this action??? Fair/good shoot-able bore. Working single set trigger. Action not working and it feels like the problem is with the mainspring. Metal was cleaned/worn to bare gray and shows light old rust residue. Fair/poor dark checkered walnut forearm has a large chip and is missing the ebony tip. Matching, rather fancy walnut, pistol grip stock is also missing the ebony grip insert and the unknown style butt plate. There are a few chips at the heel. Length of pull is currently 11 ½”. Smooth metal has turned a worn blue/brown but shows very little rust. Traces of case color on the breech block. Good/very good, for its age, full length plain walnut stock. It was either totally produced in Brazil or was a Czech made rifle altered by a Brazilian arsenal. Import marked but matching and the original configuration. Missing the cleaning rod and a swivel. Brazilian crest on the receiver. Very good bright bore. Excellent action. Bolt finished in the white. Balance of the metal retains 89% arsenal blue, getting thin, turning slightly brown and showing minimal cleanable rust. Opening lever still angled to the right. Automatic two way safety. Metal is clean and there are no dents in the barrels. Receiver is mostly gray showing faded case color traces. 90% factory satin blue on the barrels along with a few light hunting scratches. Trigger guard and forearm iron have worn blue. Golcher lock. 34” octagon barrel of approx. .32 caliber. Original sights. Wooden ramrod. Poor rusty bore. Working double set triggers. Excellent action. Dark brown metal has the usual old rust residue and pitting around the nipple. Brass trigger guard and trim. Fancy engraved brass patch box with a banner and eagle. Fancy engraved brass butt plate. Single trigger. Rusty smooth bore. Excellent action. Worn gray/brown cleaned metal with not a lot of rust. Brass trigger guard, butt plate, and trim.       226.     Colt mod. 1849 “Pocket” ser.# 71835. Antique, small frame, 5 shot .31 caliber single action percussion revolver made in 1854. Numbers appear to match. 5” octagon barrel. Original brass front sight. Bore is actually very good, not shiny but strong. Good action. Roll engraving on the cylinder is worn very thin and there are several severe dings. Wedge pin screw is missing. One or two replaced screws. Mellow brass small trigger guard/grip straps with just a hint of original silver plating. Frame has no case colors but is rather blue and could be an ancient refinish. Balance of the metal worn to bare gray. Fair, much undersize and re-varnished, one piece walnut grip. SOLD FOR: 600.00

Gun Registration Information

All guns with an "R" before the number must be registered. Licensed dealers must have a current copy of their FFL signed in ink in our files. No modern long guns sold to anyone under the age of 18, nor modern hand guns to anyone under 21. No hand guns sold to out of state residents who are not dealers. Residents of states requiring a purchase permit to buy long guns (I.E. New Jersey, etc.) must furnish this permit. Persons with Curio & Relic licenses may only purchase firearms listed as such by the B.A.T.F. and must provide a signed copy of that license. The purchaser pays any and all registration fees.

Your interpretation of "excellent", "very good", "good", etc. may be very different than ours, when it comes to the description of the condition of these guns. You are the final judge of condition before you buy. Please examine any item you are interested in very carefully and decide, before you bid, if it is as you expected. Always have a gunsmith check a gun you purchased for possible defects. We do not warrant any gun to be in firing condition.

If you see any glaring mistakes in the catalog description of the guns, please inform us of the error prior to the start of the sale. This will allow us to let other buyers know of the correction before any items are sold.

We will now be adding a "(C&R)" designation to the gun listing, to indicate guns that can be given directly to buyers who are holders of Curio & Relic licenses. There may be guns that we miss that are C&R eligible. The burden of proof is on the buyer to show that a particular gun is C&R eligible. C&R guns are listed on the BATF website and in their C&R booklet. Guns that are at least 50 years old also qualify as Curio and Relics. C&R license holders are not required to fill out BATF form 4473, but must still pay the PA state $3.00 surcharge per gun.

And now a few words about antique guns. Federal law requires any firearm, made after 1898, to be registered. Even though a gun looks like an antique, we need proof it was made before 1898 before we can give it to you without registration. Since documentation of guns made by many obscure manufacturers is difficult and time consuming, we may, sometimes, incorrectly register a gun that might be an antique. We regret this error but in the case of a Federally licensed dealer, it’s better safe than sorry.
